Abstract

Purpose: to develop an integrated information security strategy to enhance data protection and evaluate the effectiveness of advanced technologies in mitigating cyber threats.

Method: this study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design, using a literature review of recent scholarly sources. Data are analyzed through thematic and comparative methods to identify and synthesize effective information security strategies.

Findings: effective data protection requires an integrated approach combining layered security, advanced technologies such as AI and machine learning, strong governance, and user awareness. This approach enhances threat detection, reduces security risks, and improves organizational resilience against cyber threats.

Implications: organizations should adopt a holistic and adaptive information security strategy that integrates technology, governance, and human factors to effectively enhance data protection and resilience against evolving cyber threats.

Originality: lies in its integrated and holistic approach, combining advanced technologies, governance frameworks, and human factors into a comprehensive and adaptive information security strategy for enhanced data protection.
